The soundscape project's purpose was to create a 1-2 minute audio solely composed of sounds and foley to portray a simple scene.
We approached this project looking mainly from a simplistic standpoint to decide on the scene, with the amount of sounds and layering in mind as we chose "walking to the library". The inclusion of several sub-sections of the scene would allow us to diversify the range of sounds and create a multifaceted, well-made production, therefore the restaurant, music store, and fight before reaching the library.
The editing was the largest and most difficult process of creating the scene, as finding sounds and creating from scratch was easy to replicate. The main focus was timing and layering of each sound to create an easily interpretable, and accurate scene.
