Representation - Fight Club

Representation in Fight Club is extremely misconstrued and skewed in favor of a stylistic story and presentation. These groups are presented in forms of stereotypical perspectives taken to extremes for the previous purpose, as seen in Fight Club's men, women, and mental illnesses. The main character,  suffers from a split personality disorder and schizophrenia, portraying himself in vulgar and radical terms as he forms Fight Club under his alter ego, Tyler Durden. The club evolves into brutal fist fights, representing mainly vulgar masculinity and whims of the ego. This is further evident as the club becomes a terrorist group targeting economical ruin.
